| A clean black dial distinguishes this durable, dark-hued Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Swiss Automatic Watch. A polished stainless steel band joins to a durable stainless steel case this's topped by a black, ion-coated, unidirectional coin-edge bezel this is imprinted together with white indexes and Arabic numeral minute indicators in increments of 10. My Invicta 9937OB arrived yesterday in good order. The order was fulfilled lightning fast and it only took a day to receive the watch after ordering the night prior to receiving it. This is one reason I love Amazon.com.
The watch appears to work correctly, if a little fast (I hacked it to a couple quartz watches I own). I understand it may take a couple weeks for the movement to settle down to have a bit more accuracy, so this is no surprise or disappointment at this point. In sunlight, there is a halo effect on the crystal which may be from the flame fusion sapphire/mineral manufacturing process. The cyclops also appears to be just slightly lower than it should be on the crystal as well. No big shakes here either to me. Finally, the deployment clasp does not have a divers extension like most true dive watches do, so if you're considering using this with a wet suit, you should either select another watch, or you should change the bracelet.
In other reviews here and on YouTube, some compare this watch to a Rolex (which it resembles) or to an Omega (which it does not) in quality and workmanship. I would say this is a bit of a stretch and would be like saying a Chrysler 300C is like a Bentley, since both cars looks alike and do the job, or a CZ to a genuine diamond; however, just like a Chrysler 300C is in no way the car a Bentley is, the Invicta 9937OB is no way the watch a Rolex or a Omega is. That's okay as well, because the INvicta costs less than the average repair/adjustment/cleaning costs of either of the other two watches - some of which can add up to $600.00 or more. If I were to fairly compare this watch to another that I own in fit, finish, and quality, it would be to my Bulova Marine Star, and frankly, I think the Bulova is a better deal at around $150.00 (on Amazon.com) than this was as around $250.00. Yes, the Bulova is a quartz movement, and yes, the crystal is mineral, but the Marine Star MSRP wasn't artificially inflated to make prospective purchasers think they were getting a $1200.00 watch for $250.00, either.
Is this a $1200.00 watch? Certainly not. Is this a $250.00 watch? Perhaps. "Time will tell" as the saying goes, and it certainly applies here.
If you are considering a "dive watch" and don't mind a quartz watch over an automatic, I recommend looking at the Bulova Marine Star 98C62 as well. It really is a beautiful quality watch for the money.

This is an ok watch and for the price you get good features (Stainless Steel, Sapphire Crystal face and Sellita SW200 Automatic movement). However bracelet quality appears to be someone on the lower end (except the clasp). Specifically the pins that hold the band appear to be very thin and loose, I would be somewhat hesitant to wear this while diving. I have a Longines Hydro Conquest silver (L3.671.4.76.6) and difference between bracelet and over all design is night and day. Which by the way is an amazing watch and anyone interested in getting a good diver's watch under 2k should look into this. My friend has a Rolex Yacht Master and we have compared the two side by side and believe it or not Hydro Conquest not only resembles it closely (except the numeral dials), but the quality of design is very close to Rolex if not even the same. In fact the exhibition back on Longines has much better design than the Rolex. It also keeps excellent time and movement is great, it maybe loses 15-30 sec per month, which in my opinion for an Automatic watch is outstanding.
Anyhow back to Invicta review. Although the retail shows this watch goes for around $1,200, I would have to disagree with that. If you ever hold a $1000+ watch you can totally tell the difference especially if you get into $2000s and more. But I guess you get what you pay for. My main problem with the watch was the crown as it was very poorly designed. In my opinion the crown is too large for the watch itself and it sticks out too much where it actually pushes against your skin giving you an irritated feeling even after an hour of wear. If you can deal with the irritation and perhaps it may not bother you as much then for the price this watch isn't so bad and I would recommend it. However if you are looking for an everyday watch that is comfortable to wear, I would say don't invest in this, look into other watches and maybe try them on at stores before you actually make a purchase online. |

I have a 9937 regular style. I love it other than the little latch on the clasp has given me problems but invicta replaced it quickly.
The 9937OB that i just recieved has the cheapo band that the $78 watch comes with. For a movement upgrade that actualy costs around $40 after shipping to invicta it shouldnt have such a cheapo band. Sending it right back.
So for those ordering dont expect to get the 9937 band. That only comes with the 9937C (which amazingly enough is another part number for what looks to be the same as the 9937ob) But the OB has a diffrent band that i would pay an extra $50 to avoid. |

I bought this watch not long ago, and I've already experienced some minor problems with it. First of all, the bracelet was very cheap made, and I almost lost my watch after wearing it for 2-3 days as it broke apart. The bezel was also cheap and made crackling sounds not like the one in Rolex. The date was not changing smoothly couple of times. After a couple of tests it started changing properly again. I don't know what caused the problem; I will be investigate this matter further.
But in general the look is good and seconds hand runs smoothly same as in Rolex. The watch is accurate but not 100%. Watch connoisseurs say one must wait 4-6 weeks before checking the accuracy. So will see in 4-5 weeks how accurate it is. Out of the box accuracy is +15-18 seconds a day, which is quite normal for the price and for the unadjusted mechanism. Right now I would rate my watch 4 out of 5 (because of the bracelet and the bezel). Worth the money!!! Recommend to buy!!!
