THIS WATCH IS REALLY GREAT. I RECEIVE SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ABOUT IT IT'S EMBARASSING. THE SHIPMENT CAME FAST. THE WATCH IS BEAUTIFULLY SEE-THROUGH ON BOTH SIDES. THE GOLD COLOT IS UNIQUE, REMINISCENT OF ANTIQUE ROSE GOLD. THE MOVEMENT IS MESMERIZING, AND THE WATCH KEEPS GREAT TIME. THE SELF WIND PENDULUM INSIDE THE BACK IS INTERESTING BECAUSE IT IS THE WHOLE THING THAT KEEPS IT GOING. IF I HAD THREE THUMBS TO SHOW MY APPROVAL, THEY WOULD ALL BE POINTING STRAIGHT UP!

I bought this watch for my son for Christmas 2009. He LOVED IT!! He had been look for a watch and I remember that my Dad had given me an Omega when I was young. I still have it. I was looking a similar Heirloom type timepiece for my son. I was wonderful until 2 weeks after the return window ran out. That was barely a month after he started wearing it. It no longer keeps time and now the crystal is cracked. I am about to start the return procedure if I can, but the warranty on this product basically excludes everything but an act of God.

I gave it 3 stars for looks and marketing alone. So far the hype has yet to live up to reality. If you are looking for a watch stay away from this one until Amazon can clear up some of the backlog of dissatisfied customers. I still think the watch is nice, but if my son can't have it for the next 30 years, then it is really not what I thought it would be.

Great looking watch, keeps time accurately (very). I expected less in the timekeeping department. Gorgeous, would make a wonderful gift.

One issue, my unit needs to be replaced. When I attempted to change the time for daylight savings, the crown came out with the stem attached! I carefully wiggled it back in, and now need to process the return. I would be absolutely comfortable purchasing another, and may do so in the future.

I loved this watch the moment I saw it on Amazon, and decided to take a chance on it despite the fact that internet photos are sometimes too good to be true. The Winchester is a quality watch. It looks and feels sturdy, and it does not deviate in any weird ways (i.e. shoddy craftsmanship, huge face, bad strap) from its photographic representation on Amazon. I like that you can actually see the coiled spring tense inside as you wind the crown manually. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The watch also comes with a two year warranty; I will update this review if I ever have problems to share.
